The Independent says that Labour are going to run PR up the flag pole again. The Guardian was running around saying the same stuff during the crisis earlier this year. How curious, just when the polls are looking at the possibility of a hung parliament again. The idea, according to the Indie, is that Labour will "expose" the other tory party as defenders of 1st past the post.
Starter for 10: Which party has held power for 12 years and has never lifted a finger to change the voting system?
Follow up bonus question: Which party made an eerily similar promise before they gained power in 1997 and went on to bin the idea once they got in?
A guiding principle of modern establishment politics seems to be the assumption that we are gernerally stupid, gullible or too docile to anything about their nonsense and screw-ups in any case.
